Rev. Cornelius L. Burney
The importance of Global Ministry was outlined in the scriptures by the Lord Jesus Himself in the Gospels of the New Testament. Thus, based on the Word of God, it is evident that the impetus for this ministry arises out of the very heart of God. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ spent so much of His time during His earthly ministry, conducting in-depth teachings with His disciples. Often times, He spoke to them in parables to reveal deep spiritual truths which He intended to be received and comprehend only by them. On other occasions, Jesus spoke directly out of His heart with very clear and concise language to let the disciples know exactly what was expected of them as members of the kingdom of heaven and of God.
One such discourse of this type is found in Matthew 25:34-40, which reads as follows: " Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, you blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was hungry, and you gave me meat: I was thirsty, and you gave me drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in: 36 Naked, and you clothed me: I was sick, and you visited me: I was in prison, and you came unto me. 37 then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, inasmuch as you have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me."
Anointed Word International Ministries, Inc. (AWIM) is being used by God to deliver His word in Malawi, Africa, via radio broadcast. The Lord opened this Global Ministry door in March 2002 because it was His intention that the dynamic messages He reveals to our Pastor, Dr. Anderson, would be delivered internationally. The Holy Spirit worked through Senior Associate Minister, Rev. Cornelius Burney, and his lovely wife, Maxine, in a systematic process to pave the way for Anointed Word’s voice to be heard there in Malawi.
Mrs. Maxine Burney
These two spent several winter months during three consecutive years in Malawi, serving on the mission field and solidifying the relationship, under the direction of the Apostle M.P. Mbewe, who is the overseer of over 200 churches in Africa. It is obvious that this open door was in the plan of God from the foundation of the world, because He alone is the one who orchestrated this great work, and today, His voice is being projected through AWIM.
Because AWIM is a ministry that has been mandated by the Holy Spirit to fulfill the commands of Jesus in this day and time, when He opened to us this door of ministry in Africa, we were left with no other choice, but to obey. Therefore, beginning in 1998, Anointed Word began financially and physically to support the works of Jesus being conducted in Malawi, Africa. We have supported such programs as:
• assisting in the building of an orphanage,
• helping with transportation issues for the Calvary Family Church which in turn, aided them in carrying out the ministry of helping those in need in Malawi;
• assisting in the building of the radio station, over which our broadcasts are currently being aired.
• continual support to AIDS orphans, in conjunction with Calvary Family Church under the leadership of Apostle M.P. Mbewe.
To date, in Malawi, AWIM is being heard for one hour every Sunday, and the Lord is using this ministry to bless the lives of all the residents who are able to tune in.
We know that the LORD is pleased with what He is allowing AWIM to accomplish on His behalf. If you have not had the opportunity to operate in the ministry of reconciliation by getting the word of God to the nations, we invite you to financially support Anointed Word as we continue to do the works of Jesus via this global ministry. Why not come alongside and help us to continue blessing the lives of many in Africa by partnering with us in this endeavor. Every donation that you send will be credited to your account in glory as we minister the unadulterated gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ in Africa. Whatever you send will have a much greater impact on this work than you can imagine. We are 501c3 tax exempt, and all donations are tax deductible. Also, we ask that you set yourself in agreement with us and continue to cover us with intercessory prayer so that God's perfect will in this work will continue to be carried out.
